Weird Jobs That Pay Surprisingly Well

There are a lot of jobs out there that if people took the time to see how much money could be made, they may have a second look at them.
Crab Fisherman
One such job is a Crab Fisherman. It is a dangerous job so a lot of people shy away from it. These fishermen have to brave bad weather, stormy seas, and cold, freezing temperatures. However, when things go well they can rake in around $50,000 worth of good eating crabs over an 8-week period.
Podiatrist
This work is not very appealing to lots of people, but the paycheck is. A podiatrist can earn as much as $150,000 a year. However, the work is not something that everyone cares to do. There are bunions and ingrown toenails to deal with. If you happen to be a little ‘skin-thinned’, the giggles and laughs from other doctors, the ones with degrees, might make you uneasy.
Gastroenterologist
Most people view this work as just being a part of life. This one probably won’t grow in popularity anytime soon. Going for a colonoscopy or prostate exam just isn’t anybody’s idea of a good time. Another downside to this, is the work never changes. They perform the same old routines all the time. However, when you take a look at their salary ranges, which can reach to around $270,000 a year, it can almost make you think twice about it.
Salesperson
Many people shy away from this one too. It’s not that it’s really a weird job, there’s just something about selling that some people find offensive. However, a good salesperson can make some pretty awesome money. Commissioned salespeople work on commissions, so if they don’t product sales, they don’t make much money. That is too much pressure for many people. They need to know that if they show up every day there is going to be some compensation for their time and efforts.
Roughneck
Roughnecks put in long days on drilling rigs. They average roughly $50,000 a years, give or take, and have to work in a very noisy environment. They communicate a lot with their hands, and the work can be back-breaking at times. If they can prove they are worthy of handling a supervisory position they can knock down as much as $100,000 annually. This job is not for everybody.
